About the work

Deep Forensic is a series of photographs derived from forensic algorithm images. Each image is the product of a luminance gradient analysis that reveals hidden artifacts within visual representations: compression traces, steganographic noise, the invisible signatures left behind by the tools that produced them. What appears to the eye as a clean surface is, to the algorithm, a landscape of evidence.

The work extends the tradition of Harun Farocki's operational images: images that are not made for human eyes but for machines. In Deep Forensic, the roles are reversed. The algorithmic output, designed to be read by software, is reframed as an aesthetic object. The forensic becomes the formal. The analysis becomes the artwork.

Each photograph is a reminder that every digital image carries within it the traces of its own fabrication. Nothing is innocent. Nothing is transparent. The surface always conceals a deeper layer of information, visible only to those who know how to look, or to the machines that never stop looking.
